As Above

As I walk through Your Gate you embrace my arrival.

I wait my turn in anticipation, the moment I get to do Your Darshan.

Following his Ardaas at Harmandir Sahib, as a sign of gratitude, he announced the remodulation to be made of marble and gold.

The Path

Perfectly surrounded, only one path leading to You.

Walking through the gate, You are inviting me with open arms, ready to

embrace me.

I cup my hands, close my eyes and I drink Your Nectar (Amrit) while reciting Your Name.

Slowly, my eyes open, and I see Your house, sparkling in the night. You have opened Your four doors for me. I follow Your Path.

I am home.

The Realm of Truth

Before darkness recedes, The Lord is brought from Sri Akal Takhat Sahib.

The morning hymns (Asa Di Vaar) resonating through every wall and every corner of Harmandir Sahib.

The congregation (Sangat) is blessed with Your presence (Darshan) as You sit on Your throne, inside the Realm of Truth (Sachkhand).

The Stillness

The light of His kingdom pierces through the blackness.

You stand and stare.

A sudden feeling overtakes your body. A thought comes to mind;

“You are standing where your Guru’s prayed.”

That place where countless prayers (Paath’s), selfless service (Sewa) and recitation (Simran) has been done. Where everyday of every minute the Lord is being remembered.

In that perfect moment of stillness, that heart beat, is the presence of Maharaj Ji.
